Photographs on maple wood.

An exclusive assemblage of skate decks featuring art by director, musician, and visual artist Carrington “Eyes” Mitchell. The images, created over the last 6 years, were captured with the intent focus on the eyes of women to convey messages centered around ideas of beauty, race, perseverance, and divine femininity. Each board is based in a Canadian maple wood. The deck imagery consists of two layers, a white undercoat and full color topcoat, applied through high temperature transfer. Known prior for his directing and producing of stars like Drake, Jhené Aiko, and Michael K. Williams, this is the artist’s first-ever art piece to show in a gallery. The artist will signature the boards for the purchaser of the assembly and will oversee its installation.
