This is a stereo image. When you blend both sides by crossing your eyes, you will see the earth in 3-D. The earth is bathed in a place that extends into space. What we do on earth affects everything surrounding us. This is part of an NFT series of "stereo cards" like stereographs which were first made in the 1850s and were popular between 1870 and 1920. In 1851 stereo daguerreotypes were exhibited for the first time to the general public at the London Crystal Palace.
